Silver Dollar Financial’s Public Speaking Scholarship is open to all currently-enrolled and prospective college students. Applicants must be enrolled or scheduled to enroll at an accredited United States college or university for the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 semester(s). Proof of academic eligibility may be required for consideration.
The winner of the Silver Dollar Financial Public Speaking Scholarship will be decided by our selection committee, with no input from outside sources. Our committee’s decision is final, contingent upon a request for proof of accuracy from a potential winner.
Silver Dollar Financial is not responsible or liable for any technical issue that prevents the uploading of documents or files and is not responsible for any situation that prevents a submission from being considered.
All applicants to this scholarship must meet the eligibility requirements as laid out on the scholarship application page, including:
- Applicant must be enrolled or accepted to a college, university, or graduate school
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old at the age of enrollment
- Applicant must have residency in the United States
- Applicant must be in good academic standing
- Applicant must submit some personal information, including name and contact information
- Applicant must author an original video and written speech on the scholarship topic provided.
Anyone who meets the following conditions is NOT eligible to apply:
- Employees or children of employees of Silver Sollar Financial
- Past recipients of the Public Speaking Scholarship
- Applicants who are unable/unwilling to be interviewed by a representative of Silver Dollar Financial if they were to be awarded a scholarship.
- Applicants who submit the same application for multiple years in a row or multiple scholarships
Non-Discrimination
Silver Dollar Financial does not and will not discriminate against any potential applicant based on sexuality, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, or any other category protected by law. The winner will be selected solely at the discretion of our selection committee.
The scholarship selection committee reserves up to at least three months to consider students’ applications and select a merit-based winner. The firm cannot answer questions about the scholarship or its applications during that time.
Upon selecting a winner, the firm will reach out to the applicable student by email. The firm will then announce the winner on its blog as well as by press release. Students and their families can expect to work with Silver Dollar Financial to send the scholarship winnings directly to the winning student’s university.
Data Storage and Privacy
Personal information provided through the application will be used solely for the purpose of this scholarship. No collected data will be shared, sold, distributed, or stored by Silver Dollar Financial. The sole exception to this disclaimer is the featuring of the winner’s name and image on our website.
Announcement of Winner
The Silver Dollar Financial Public Speaking Scholarship selection committee will announce the winner within approximately 30-60 days of the scholarship submission deadline. The winner selection period might get extended depending on the number of submissions received. This announcement will serve as a notification of all applicants’ status. Silver Dollar Financial is not required to individually notify each applicant of their status, though the selection committee may do so at its own discretion.
